Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and occasionally stylized using the letters in uppercase in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two notable covers that she has recorded. Katy Perry's endorsement of her song Runaway via a blog post added to the musician's acknowledgement. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument hidden in her attic then becoming enthralled by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to make music as a means of personal growth, rather than for the purpose of making money or to pursue as a hobby. She started writing songs of her own. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favorite composers. She decided to start performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mother suggested that they could help people not to gain fame with her work, but instead help those around them see the importance of their work and how they impact the world. She began playing the piano when she was six years old and started writing music at age nine. This was not known by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora never dreamed of becoming a star. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. For her, music is the best way to express anything.
